Silicone-coated glass fabric
Apronor >
Apronor’s glass fabric is a technical textile recognised for its resistance to high temperatures (up to 800° peak). Made from fibreglass, it can be treated in a variety of ways, including silicone coating.
This treatment improves its performance and durability. Suitable for industrial applications, our product is of the highest quality in order to satisfy the security requirements and constraints to which our customers are subject, both in France and internationally. It is a highly reliable technical textile, suitable for the manufacture of insulation and protection solutions, including thermal insulation mats.
Available in several versions, silicone-coated glass fabric is packaged in rolls for easy handling and storage.
A technical textile with a silicone coating
Our silicone-coated glass fabric combines the resistance to very high temperatures of fibreglass, a natural insulating, rot-proof and non-combustible material, with the dielectric properties of silicone. This coating is known for its ability to resist various elements such as heat, cold, UV, ozone, oxygen and light.
This type of glass fabric is characterised by :
- watertightness ;
- non-toxic properties for human health and the environment;
- softness and flexibility, which make it easy to handle;
- resistance to oils, solvents and other chemicals, as well as to vibration, wear and corrosion.
Classified M0 or M1, it is also non-slip due to its silicone coating, which ensures perfect stability. As a neutral material, it does not corrode the equipment it comes into contact with.
An insulating fabric developed for industrial use
The silicone coating of this glass fabric is a guarantee of a high quality, durable textile, the use of which extends the life of the equipment or materials that it protects. This is why it can be used to produce insulation blankets, and it also meets the expectations of our customers in the industrial sector. These include companies specialised in the manufacture of thermal insulation blankets, acoustic, thermal or cryogenic insulation solutions, and materials and equipment for heating systems.
On our website, we present several versions of this innovative technical textile:
- with a satin or twill weave ;
- with a thickness of 0.4 mm, 0.47 mm, 1 mm, 1.5 mm or 1.6 mm;
- in a range of colours including grey, orange, blue, black and red.
