High-temperature glues and mastic
Apronor >
For making joints and assembling technical textiles, we propose a high temperature-resistant glue and mastic. Ready to use, they are highly adhesive and have excellent thermal resistance. Packaged in hermetically sealed jars, they contain sodium silicate. They must be used in accordance with safety rules and protective equipment (gloves and goggles in particular) must be worn. Thanks to their liquid and viscous appearance, Apronor glue and mastic are easy to apply:
- excellent adhesion ;
- a long service lifetime.
So you can use them for a variety of applications, such as:
- Gluing of fibrous insulating materials;
- joints in contact with high temperatures (e.g. fire-stop expansion joints and insulating panels).
Refractory glues available in our range
Our expertise in high-temperature resistant technical textiles enables us to offer you a refractory adhesive and sealant. So, when exposed to high temperatures, they do not decompose or emit smoke. There is not any chemical reaction with surrounding materials.
Our range includes two versions:
- l’Aprosil60G, a refractory glue ;
- l’Aprosil70G, a mastic ;
Based on sodium silicate, they offer a good resistance to high temperatures and ensure a high level of adhesion. It takes between 1 and 3 hours to dry. They should be conserved in a place protected from variations of humidity, preferably in a temperature between 10 and 30°C. This guarantees their perfect condition and appearance (viscous liquid).
Highly adhesive and resistant solutions
Our glue and mastic have the same points in commun :
- good resistance to high temperatures ;
- high thermal resistance while dry ;
- improved adhesion;
- very good chemical resistance.
They do not emit smoke when heated up either. Their density is also identical (1.50/1.60), but their viscosity is different. It amounts to :
- 20 000-30 000 cPs @20 rpm for l’Aprosil60G ;
- 180 000 cPs @20 rpm for l’Aprosil70G.
They also do not require a hardener. All you need to do is respect the drying time, and make sure the surfaces are clean before gluing to guarantee their effectiveness. Made according to specific formulas, our products fulfil current standards and are suitable for industrial and technical uses.
